Opening Hours

Monday - Friday             08:30 - 18:00

Consultation is by appointment only. If you require to be seen urgently, please phone as early as possible and we will endeavor to give you an emergency appointment for that day.

Alternatively you may be asked to speak to a doctor or practice nurse who will discuss the problem and then agree with you if and when you should be seen. A table of surgery consulting hours is included below. Please note that while there are no routine consultations on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons, the Health Centre is open and a receptionist will be available to book appointments and for collections of repeat medications ordered 48 hours or more in advance.

If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse about a routine matter, such as results or a laboratory test, then please phone the practice between 14:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday.

Patients calling with conditions requiring immediately necessary treatment or advice will be triaged by a GP. The receptionist will ask for contact details and general details of the reason why the patient cannot wait for the next routine appointment. This information will be passed to the doctors and one of them will make contact with the patient at the first opportunity to either offer advice or otherwise arrange a time for the patient to be seen at the Practice.

Appointments with the Practice Nurse are available Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings between 09:00 & 12:15 and all day Wednesday afternoons between 09:00 and 17:30.

Dunvegan Medical Practice has a dispensary where patients can collect medicines prescribed by the doctor after their consultation or leave a request for a prescription for repeat medication. We politely request that patients leave a full 48 working hours between ordering and collecting repeat medication as we try to obtain medicines to order where possible.

Repeat medications may be ordered by leaving a message on the Dispensary answer machine (01470 521775), by leaving the completed repeat medication slip (included with your previous repeat) at Reception or by registering HERE to order your repeat medications online to be made up at, and collected from the Health Centre.

Repeat prescriptions ordered 2 or more working days previously may be collected at the Practice Reception desk.
